Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense vocal instruction. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous chamber and opera choirs. In 2000 she moved to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. The passion and love she has for music, art, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing classic Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to sing the same.
